Are “Tweets” “Writing”?

I’m so confused these days, like 26,000 days into my chosen (albeit, failed) career as a writer: exactly what is “writing”? Especially, now that AI apparently has a better gift of gab than Charles Dickens and Tennessee Williams put-together.
What about “Tweets”? Writing — thoughtful artifice — or …just words? What is writing — there’s that question again. Movement? Of fingers pecking on a computer keyboard or scribbling on a pad? Thought? Which “thought” is writing and which not? At first glance, it’s all in the mind of the beholder, right?
